Canada Lake Cottage nestled in the Foothills of Southern Adirondack Mountains This cottage is located across the road from the channel of Canada Lake. Very important to note is we do not have 'lake rights' to Canada Lake and due to allergies, do not allow pets at this property. The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably, all 3 bedrooms have Queen mattresses with fresh linens and extra pillows and blankets to make your stay more comfortable. The kitchen is the main attraction with cathedral ceilings and open concept to the dining area and living room. It is stocked with pots, pans, dishes and small appliances if you decide to bake or prepare your own meals. Our property has a great backyard, with a grill and picnic table for your enjoyment and you can hear the loons and birds while admiring the views. Out front you will see an open fireplace to end your day toasting marshmallows under the stars. (Use of the outdoor fireplace is permitted as long as there is no burn ban and we ask that you keep the flames inside the fireplace.) You can purchase wood at several locations as you enter the Caroga Lake area. If the weather doesn't allow, you can enjoy the enclosed screen porch. It is a great place to start the day with breakfast and a book. If it happens to be rainy, the TV cabinet has games for all ages and a DVD player for a movie night.The cabin is comfortable in all seasons. Relax and enjoy the Adirondacks inside or out enjoying all the nearby outdoor activities. This home is located less than a mile of Nick Stoner Golf Course directly across from the new Mountain Bike Trails. We are surrounded by beautiful hiking trails. (Please see our book that includes information on all the nearby trails). You are very close to several area restaurants including Nick Stoner's 19th Hole, Caroga Lakeview Store, Dick & Peg's, The Slate and Vrooman's. Don't forget to check out the Caroga Lake music festival throughout the summer and the delicious ice cream from Granny's. Sherman's is open for Ferris wheel and Carousel rides with beautiful sunset views. We do require a 2 night minimum. Check in is 5:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am. We ask that you treat our home as your own. Cleaning supplies will be available for any little messes or to disinfect the counters, door knobs etc. We want your stay to be enjoyable, so please make us aware of any special needs before you check in.We ask that you please recycle your garbage, I have supplied bags and designated cans for sorting.There are public beaches at Pine Lake, East Caroga Lake and a public boat launch on West Lake. You can rent a Stand up paddle board, boat, canoe or paddle boat at the Canada Lake Store to enjoy the Lake and find kayak and boat rentals at the Caroga Lake Marina as well.Once again, we do not have lake rights or access to the water as our property is across the road from the Canada Lake 'channel'.Also this is a non smoking rental and use of candles is prohibited.
