Fire Pit down by the lake.Nearest grocery stores are in Malone or Plattsburgh so load up the trunk on the way in and fill up the fridge. Plenty of hiking nearby: Lyon Mountain for a long, slow mildly steep ascent to the top or Birch Hill which is right around the corner and only takes 20-30 minutes for some incredible views.Lake Placid is 47 miles away - drive is a little over an hour for anyone looking to explore further south in the Adirondacks.We have resident eagles with growing babies, loons, a fox now and again. Star watching is second to none with the occasional shooting star. Big boulders on the lake for sitting and soaking up fresh air or great for playing "Pirates" with the kids. Sunsets that you won't forget!
