He was found here in the Capitan mountains abondoned after his mother was killed in the fire. The Smokey Bear Museum is here in town to tour.Also Smokey Bear Cafe is delicious-Down home cooking.Smokey's Grocery store is our hometown grocery store. 8 minutes drive from Capitan Mountain Cabin.Beautiful New Mexico Country.
