Waterfront Carriage House Apartment The Carriage House was built in 1925 to store carriages for the large Victorian home, across the street. Once carriages became a thing of the past, part of the carriage house was converted to a one bedroom apartment that has direct water views and a private deck overlooking the water. There are two queen beds in the bedroom and a pull out twin bed in the living room. Enjoy the 585 feet of shared lake frontage with beach and complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, standup paddle boards and fire pits. Walk 0.5 miles to the Squamside Beach Bar or Walter's Basin restaurant. Only 200 yards away is The Ice House Creamery with home made ice cream. See bears, bobcats and mountain lions 1 mile away at the Squam Lakes Science Center. Enjoy all that Squam Lake has to offer!This rental shares the 2.3 acres and 585 feet of lake frontage with other cabins and suites on the property. The outside common areas include a beautiful sandy beach, fire pits, bbq grills and outdoor activities.Guests for weekly stays in July and August are asked to bring their own bed sheets, pillow cases and towels. Linens are provided for guests in May, June, September and October. Guests are also asked to leave the rental in a clean condition upon departure. This allows our professional cleaning crew to be efficient so that we can provide the room without having to charge a resort fee or cleaning fee.This rental does not accept pets. If you do want your pet to join you on your vacation, please look at our pet friendly rentals, which are suites 1, 3, 4, 9 and 12. Keycode locks allow guests to check in at their convenience. The code will be sent to the guests prior to arrival. Smoking is only permitted on the property at the designated smoking areas near the parking lot. Guests are welcome to use the rental, the deck and the entire 2.3 acres of the property, including the beach, swim raft, canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Please do not enter the barn, garages or the docks marked as private.Please message your host via the app for communication.There is poor cell phone reception throughout the town of Holderness. When arriving, please connect to our Wifi which is called "The Boulders"Guest making reservation must be at least 25 years old.Quiet hours are from 11 pm - 7 am. Please be courteous to your neighbors. Our septic systems are fragile so PLEASE do not flush anything that is not toilet paper, even if it says flushable.Please wash all dishes and bring trash to the dumpster in the parking lot prior to leaving.
