"Loon's Nest" rustic cabin hidden amongst the pines Experience the Rocky Mountains of western Montana in this rustic cabin centrally located in the Swan Valley. Enjoy magnificent views of the Swan Range of the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the east and Mission Mountains Wilderness to the west.The cabin overlooks a spring-fed 7 acre pond with views of the double falls on the Swan Mountain range. Elk, native trout, great blue herons, frogs, deer, ducks, geese, and turtles are among the frequent inhabitants. This sweet cabin is perfect for a couple getaway. The king size bed up in the loft provides a comfy "nest" with views out the upper windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Stove , large mini fridge, Microwave,Toaster, and Coffee Maker. Pots & Pans along with Dinnerware & Silverware. There is one bathroom with a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided. The cabin has a king size bed up in the loft. Outdoor living is made easy with a grill and picnic table. Located in a region of dozens of pristine lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and mountain trails, there are ample opportunities for recreation. Enjoy canoeing/kayaking/paddle boarding, go horseback riding or boating. Other outdoor opportunities include fly-fishing the Swan River, hiking, hunting, huckleberry picking, mountain biking, snow mobiling or cross country skiing the myriad of trails and roads on public lands in the region. Or just throw a hammock up and spend the day relaxing. There is no wrong way to spend a mountain day. This cabin sits on Falls Creek Guest Ranch.
