Unit is on the 2nd floor of the resort overlooking the marina. The unit is adjacent to an interior elevator which provides direct access to the lobby area on the first floor. The unit also has a spiral stair off the rear balcony which provides direct access to the boardwalk with restaurants, shops and watersport activities (fishing, scuba, snorkeling, jet skis, kayaking, dinner/sunset cruises, tours, etc.). At the bottom of the spiral stair is a garden area with a barbecue grill and picnic tables for those wishing to have a cookout overlooking the marina. The resort has a heated pool and its own secluded private beach. The resort also provides concierge services and has a sauna, exercise room, an observation deck on the roof, a Tiki Bar and a dock café (which serves a great breakfast) and convenience store. The observation deck provides stunning views from sunrise to sunset and is a perfect venue to gaze at the stars. The Tiki Bar has entertainment and a daily happy hour and provides several special lunches each week with prize giveaways. All units in the resort are well air conditioned with free WIFI and parking on the premises. The resort is ADA accessible and has 24-hour security.The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area, a breakfast nook area, a breakfast bar, living room with pull-out queen size sofa bed, master bedroom with king size bed and bath with jacuzzi tub, second bath and second bedroom with two twin size beds. The balcony is accessible through French doors from both the living room and master bedroom. Also included for your convenience are three televisions with cable, DVD player, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, in-room safe and wet bar.The Galleon Resort is an ideal spot to enjoy the countless charms of Key West. The resort is located only two blocks from Duval Street in the center of the Key West Historic Seaport. Duval Street is a legendary street that boasts top-notch restaurants, dazzling nightlife and non-stop parties. The Galleon Resort is within a short walking distance of museums, historical sites and popular tourist attractions. Included in these are the Truman Little White House, the Hemingway House with their famous six-toed cats, Mallory Square (with the famous Key West Sunset Celebration every night), the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, Flagler Station Museum (tells the history of Key West), Sloppy Joe's Restaurant, the Key West Shipwreck Museum, the Key West Aquarium and many more.Mallory Square is a plaza which is famous for its 'Sunset Celebration' - watch the sunset each evening while food vendors, artists and craftsman display their wares and entertainers perform.
