Recently renovated with all new appliances and updated bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Open floor plan with panoramic views of the lake from nearly every room. Enjoy fantastic sunrises and sunsets over the lake. Check out the newly renovated sunroom! All new windows, sliding glass door, shiplap and flooring. The snow you see in the photos will be gone in the summer, we promise!Large master bedroom overlooking the lake features a king size bed, double closet, and a writing desk. Second bedroom features a queen bed and closet. Third bedroom has a daybed with trundle. With the sofa bed in the living area, will sleep a maximum of 8.Living area overlooks the deck and the lake and features a new queen size pull out sofa bed, a second sofa, fireplace, and flat screen TV with a blue ray player and power and HDMI cable for your own streaming device (i.e. Apple TV).Dining area features a large table with seating for six and a breakfast bar with three stools and even more lake views.Sunroom overlooking the lake offers another living space with access to the deck and lake.Two tired deck with gas grill, picnic table, and patio chairs to enjoy the sunsets and watch the lake activities.Dock with steps into the lake provides great water access for swimming, fishing, and loading/unloading of your small watercraft. Overnight tie ups to the dock is not permitted. There is a marked buoy anchored to the lake bed for overnight tie ups.Two kayaks are available for your use during your stay. Fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances and a new washer and dryer in the utility room.Spend the day on the lake and then grill dinner on the two tiered deck. Wrap up your evening around the fire pit. Steps from Heights Park.Nearby grocery store and ice cream stand and easy access to the many great activities in and around the lake.Boating rentals are available just down the street and elsewhere around the lake or other nearby lakes. Fishing is a popular activity as well. Google "Houghton lake boat rentals" for boat rental options.Nearby access to several parks with swimming and hiking trails. Check out Marl Lake, North and South Higgins Lake State Park, and Roscommon State Forest Area.Easy driving distance to Roscommon, Grayling, Gaylord, Cadillac, St. Helen, and even Mackinaw, and our personal favorite the Headlands International Dark Park.We are interested in respectful guests that are looking to enjoy a great home directly on the lake and not a party house. This is our home away from home and we ask that you respect the property, the neighbors, and our rules so that we can offer you an enjoyable vacation.Additional Owner Rules:The pontoon boat on the hoist adjacent to the dock is strictly off limits. Thank you for your understanding.Note that for 2021, Roscommon Township has implemented a new short term rental ordinance that requires licensing and local agents to help manage the properties. There are many rules in the ordinance that control how we must operate our property and what the guests can and can't do. Guests are obligated to abide by the terms of the ordinance. A copy of the ordinance is included with the rental agreement. - No pets allowed (inside or outside the house).- No smoking/vaping/drugs- No parties.- No fireworks- Minimum age of renter is 25 years (drivers license required)- Requesting to book the property constitutes agreement to comply with the rental terms and rental agreement and the township ordinance.- We have very nice neighbors who have families that enjoy a peaceful property on the lake, we ask our guests to keep noise to a minimum not to disturb others, especially between 11pm and 8 am.- Shed will be locked to store the owners' personal belongings.- We understand accidents happen, please notify us promptly of any damage so we can remedy the situation timely.- Please dispose trash bags into large blue garbage bin outside of garage area. We kindly ask that you place the bin curbside if you are there on a Sunday night.- Overnight parking of vehicles or trailers is not permitted, by local regulation, in the open lot next to the property (road end).
