New Waterfront Modern Farmhouse on Tisbury Great Pond We have been visiting Martha's Vineyard for over 20 years and instantly fell in love with its rural unspoiled beauty and relaxed atmosphere. After renting for years, we decided to put down some roots and build a home for our family to enjoy for years to come. We'd love to share our piece of heaven with you. This stylish newly built modern farmhouse is light and bright with views of Tisbury Great Pond. This is a magical rural waterfront setting with a horse farm down the road and sheep often grazing next door. The home's fresh, gracious open- floor plan is conducive to family time with the comfort of central air conditioning, and a large gourmet kitchen. Enjoy all the fun activities available right outside your door from kayaking to fishing and bird watching on the Great Pond. There are plenty of places to gather or seek privacy on the outdoor deck, front porch, living room or the separate cozy TV room and screened-in porch. There are four spacious bedrooms, two with king-sized beds, two with queens, and all with their own private bathrooms. The master bathroom also opens to a private outdoor shower that faces west over the meadow to the sunset each evening - it's the perfect ending to a day at the beach. Boat across the pond to the most beautiful south shore ocean beach with ever-changing tide pools and your own nature-made lazy river or water slide when “the cut” is opened in July and August. Rent bikes for the week (there's a great place that will deliver them!) and take an easy ride past gorgeous open meadows to Alley s General Store, the West Tisbury Farmers Market and 7A Foods for delicious coffee, pastries or sandwiches. There's also easy access to the island's many bike paths leading to Edgartown and beyond. If biking's not your thing, the home's central island location means a 10-15 min drive to all of the down-island towns, making it a perfect blend of rural beauty and convenience.
