A new kayak rack down by the dock allows for easy access to the river, and two new kayaks are now available. The antique lighting, fir wood flooring, and den with a wood-mantled fireplace, keep it cozy, yet the oversized couches and chairs and modern furnishings keep it light and contemporary. The workspaces, and game areas give it a modern feel. This unique river-front property allows you to swim, or to launch your kayak off your private dock onto the Kennebunk River. The sunset view from the backyard Adirondack chairs or the view from hanging out at the 11-ft. outdoor mahogany table is soulful. The backyard hot tub and shower with the river-view make for added fun and entertainment. The local cafes, restaurants, shops, and galleries of the famous Kennebunkport Dock Square are within a 1.5 mile walk or quick bike ride, and 3 beautiful beaches are within 3 miles. Two free parking passes are available while using the rental property. The quiet neighborhood is set back away from the tourist area, so you enjoy the best of both worlds.This 6-bedroom, 3.5 bath home allows you and your guests various spaces to spread out, with four bedrooms upstairs, including a large primary suite and an adorable space specifically designed for kids, with a full/twin bunk bed and futon. Two upstairs bedrooms offer the experience of a peaceful sleep on the still and dark river, while waking to the sounds of the ducks and geese. The house can sleep 16 people comfortably. The main floor bedroom suite is off a lovely large living space with a large kitchen, dining room, sunroom, and den, all with a breath-taking view of the river. The charming, screened porch allows you to enjoy morning coffee in the fresh morning air or an evening beverage in the crisp Maine evening. The sunroom is a great get-away space with the all-around windows providing the perfect reading light.The basement offers a full bedroom with a walk out to the hot-tub and outdoor shower. The large basement family space has a full-size pool table, 65-inch television, and lots of games to keep everyone entertained. NO SMOKING allowed at all times on the premises which includes outside around the grounds.Maximum 5 cars at all times.Dogs Allowed with written approval for an additional fee of $175/dog.Maxiumum two dogs allowed
