Built in 2009, this cottage features ocean views from the upstairs balcony and a granite countertop kitchen.Muir Teachin is a lovely Sea Cottage for your summer vacation. Covered front porch with spiral stairs to the upper deck. Cable TV, DVD, CD PLAYER, WiFi internet.Located on the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island, and surrounded by Acadia National Park is the perfect vacation home for you and your family. We are within walking distance to town where you can find an array of world class cuisine and truly unique shops. We may be bias but the best clam chowder and coconut macaroons on Mount Desert Island are only walking distance away! There is also a bird carving museum and library to dive into the local history. There are many hiking trails within a ten minute drive as well as swimming at Echo Lake beach. Golf is also a very short drive away at The Causeway Club. Bike, canoe, and boat rentals are available in town as well.We welcome you to Southwest Harbor and look forward to serving you!

- Renters shall keep said premises in as good repair and as clean as it was at the beginning of the lease, and at the expiration of said term to yield up the peaceful possession thereof to the lessors. Damage caused by elements other than the fault of the lessees is the responsibility of the lessor. Lessees agree they will observe and conform to all town ordinances and regulations regarding fire hazards and outdoor fires and specifically that they will not kindle or permit any outdoor fire on the premises. The lessor warrant that the plumbing, heating, electrical systems, and appliances are in good working condition and any cost of repairs, if needed, is the responsibility of the lessors unless the fault is caused by the lessee through negligence. There shall be no more than 5 people occupying said premises for the term of the lease. lessees will not re sub-let or sub-let the whole or any part of said premises nor assign the lease, nor use or permit any part of the premises to be used for any purpose than a residential property without the written consent of the lessors under penalty of forfeiture of the lease. Lessors may enter into and upon the premises at reasonable hours of the daytime to examine the same or to make such repairs or alterations therein as necessary for the preservation thereof after proper notification of the intent to the lessees. Security deposit will be refunded within 45 days of the termination of the lease. During the lease period the lessees are responsible for the cost of all long distance phone calls, and clean up (strip beds, laundry started, broom cleaned, trash gathered) to pre-rental condition, Failure to leave cottage as you found it, will result in deductions from your security deposit.
