The covered , private pier can be used to dock your boat, fishing, swimming, and/or just sitting relaxing on the swing. Bring your boat or rent one in nearby New Roads. In the cooler seasons, enjoy the outdoor fireplace or watching the game with friends on one of the 6 flatscreens throughout the house and porch. Better yet, catch the Tigers at Death Valley (approximately 40 min drive) and enjoy the rest of the weekend on False River. LAKE WATER LEVELSWe have no control over the water levels of False River and the water around the dock and pier can be very shallow at times. Please seek knowledge of any local, parish or state government plans to alter the water level or a lake draw down during your stay on the premises. No refunds will be given due to water levels.LAKE LIFEEnjoy boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing off the dock or hand out by the outdoor fireplace and watch the stars. There are also many great restaurants/bars and historic mansion tours nearby.LAKE LIFE HAPPENSFalse River has an active water fowl population. Despite our quarterly power washing and weekly wipe downs of the dock furniture, you will likely encounter some bird poop.
