Quaint lil' place near St. John's River in Old Florida Cosy cottage near St. John's River, perfect for visiting the idyllic springs, boating, kayaking in Juniper Springs, skydiving in Deland, hiking in Ocala Forest. The cottage has gorgeous outdoor deck& patio, grill ready for you! Bring Fido for free!This is not part of a house. The cottage is your own space, grill your catch, relax and soak up the sun. The cottage is in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the river and includes free use of the residents' boat ramp which leads onto beautiful Blue Creek (see photos). There you will encounter bald eagles, manatee, gators, ospreys, and more. Largemouth bass, crappie, bluegills, shellcrackers and catfish are the highlights. But redfish, snook, flounder, striped bass and warmouth are also present in the river and its lakes. If Kayaking is your thing, then nearby Juniper Springs Run is just gorgeous. The home has a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher. The fridge/freezer is small but guests staying longer than 6 nights can have access to a full-size fridge/freezer and laundry facilities on site. The sofa bed in the living room is suitable for two extra guests so the maximum is four which would include children. Only guests named on the booking are permitted to occupy. (If you are booking for TWO people please be aware that to keep our costs this low, we only supply linen for the full bed. If you intend to use both beds, we can supply extra linen for a small charge). Please note - we do not accommodate smokers at all. We strictly enforce no smoking both inside AND outside in the yard. We will charge a fee of $250 in the event of any person smoking.Pet policy:We do allow 1 small dog but no cats, sorry. Owners must pick up after their dog, keep their fur-baby off the furniture at all times and crate him/her when leaving unattended. This is because our furniture doubles as sleeping space. Unlike most places, we don't charge for your four-legged best friend; we find that most owners are respectful of our policy, so it would be unfair to charge everyone. But in the rare event that we do have to pick up after your dog or undertake deep cleaning, additional fees will be chargeable.
