Eagle Nest - Modern log home with a panoramic view over mountains and river. 50 acres at 8000ft (2400m) situated on the east side of Togwotee Pass on the dividing line between the Absoroka and Wind River Ranges with stunning views over the mountains, and the Wind River Valley and River. As far as the eye can see, there is no house built higher than this home. A partner property with the adjacent Big Diamond Ranch. Snowmobile and ATV access to the Shoshone National Forest north and south from the doorstep. Built of local lodgepole pine with natural wood floors and accents of marble throughout the house. The wooden logs give the house a warm feel. When a window is opened, a cool mountain breeze will fill the room. Air conditioning is not necessary at this altitude. Elk, deer, moose, antelope and eagles are often seen through the windows. Bears are more elusive so they are best seen 10 miles up the road near the Continental Divide or about 1 hour down any ATV trail. At 12 miles west of Dubois, it is a good gateway to Grand Teton, or Yellowstone, or the slopes and attractions of Jackson Hole. Town is 15 minutes away with stores, bars, restaurants and a weekly rodeo in the summer.
