Quaint Lakeview Cabin This Quaint Lakeview cabin is a newer construction, studio type layout that over looks the water. "Please read all the information below" This beautiful, newer construction cabin is located in a quiet country setting, overlooking a small private lake that is off the beaten path with access to the Lake where there are kayaks canoes and rowboats available for free use for guests. The cabin has a Queen size sleeper sofa and 2 chairs that fold down into small beds and small futon couch, with a signal bed that can be available as well, so this rental is best for a couple with kids or any group that doesn't mind a smaller one room, studio type cabin. Outside the cabin there is a picnic area with fire pit, LP grill, and picnic table with dry firewood for sale for $5 a bundle. The cabin is on the same property as River Valley campground so if you have friends with RVs or campers there are spots available. Campers are some distance away from Cabins but on heavy travel days campers may be closer. The lake is shared by other guests and Campers are separated mostly on the other side of the Lake and are mainly used on weekends. There is a hiking trail around the lake and the local area has lots of wildlife and Flora and fauna to see. There are 2 state parks with in 40 minutes and Volga Lake recreational area is about 10 miles away. A convenience store is 2.5 miles away in Wadena and a grocery store is 10 miles away in Elgin. There is no Wi-Fi or television in the cabin so you can just unplug and relax but there is a cell tower within a mile, so you get great reception with US cellular but other carriers may be spotty. The most important rule is to relax, enjoy your stay and please return. Bring any personal items that will make your stay more comfortable. I have most of the basics but maybe not everything you may need.Please no shoes or smoking inside the cabin. Before checking out, please place all used linen in pile on the floor near the front door. Feel free to bring your own sheets and towels if wanted. They are supplied but some people prefer to bring their own. If you're going to need a heavy blanket, please bring that as well because they are too difficult to wash between each guest, but if needed I can supply them. Place all garbage in the dumpster near the entrance. Pets must be house broken and let me know the size, number and type of pet you are bringing. Please bring a dog bed or sheet to lay on and a Kennel is suggested for nighttime. No pets allowed on furniture or beds or inside the cabin if wet or dirty. Pets Cannot be left alone inside the cabin, unless inside a kennel and please pick up after your pets. I have an outside kennel for guests to use if needed. If the pet has an accident inside the cabin, there will be an additional cleaning fee of 25$. And please let me know if this happens so the area can be cleaned and sanitized. Unfortunately, there is no swimming allowed in the Lake due to insurance and liability issues.Fishing is allowed but please use artificial bait and barbless hooks for the safe release of the fish.No parties or events are to be held unless preapproved and no weapons are allowed on site unless preapproved and or used for hunting. Please let me know if there is any damage or spills of any sort or if anything needs improved or repaired. Also, any help with clean up and keeping the cabin clean is greatly appreciated. Smoking is only allowed outside the cabin and no butts thrown on the ground.Thank you for supporting small business.
