Spring- lake activities, Creeper Trail bike rides.Rental Pontoon Boat: The boat is removed during part of the year (October - May) due to the lake water dropping and hazardous elements in the lake floating/partially submerged (tree trunks, etc). Boat availability varies. Ask about our current boat rate. So much to do - Pontoon, Kayaking, Hot Tub, Water Slide, & Family Fun at the lodge on site. Sportsman's Marina Water Playground ( 3 minute pontoon ride from lodge).... Creeper Trail bike rides (Alvarado Station on Creeper Trail with BBQ, ice-cream, & a starting point ONLY 9.1 miles away)... plus Barter Theatre and Summer & Fall Festivals.This beautiful 5 bedroom 3 bathroom lodge home overlooks the most beautiful lake in Virginia and Tennessee (South Holston Lake) surrounded by the majestic Holston Mountains where you will find Fishing, Swimming, Skiing, Boating as well as Biking Trails, Hiking, Antiquing, Festivals, Wine Tours, and Sight Seeing, Leaf changing... such a beautiful part of the country... often referred to as 'God's country.' The cedar lodge has beautiful stonework throughout and 2 wonderful stone fireplaces with gas logs that turn on with a flip of a switch. The living room is rustic with high A-frame wood ceilings. Large picture windows offer fantastic views throughout. The five bedrooms are private and easily accessible to the bathrooms. The most delightful room is the glass sun-room with a panoramic view of the lake. You will find the kitchen fully furnished with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The deck wraps around the front of the house with a large gas grill, jetted hot tub and seating for four. Imagine yourself sitting in the hot tub at night under the stars looking out at the lake. It is NICE... The den is spacious with a view of the lake and a large stone fireplace to enhance your evenings. We offer high speed internet and a library of wonderful DVD's (many for children). Outside your door is the lake with our own private small dock for boats, playthings or a place to just sit and fish with your son or daughter. Hop in your own boat and you will find a marina just down the way that has a full outdoor restaurant and live music all through the summer. Boats may be rented at the marinas as well. There is the beautiful South Holston dam on the lake and Cliff Island where you will find kids and adults jumping from a stone ledge into the water. The sunsets are spectacular but the turning leaves in the Fall are rich and colorful as well and then there is the winter snow as you soak in the hot tub overlooking a frozen lake that is indescribable. Finally, spring arrives with the purple martins returning to our bird hotel and all around turns green as life blooms everywhere. The activities and opportunities around this area are innumerable and the beauty does not fade with the summer... it lasts for 4 seasons. Come and stay and enjoy the festivals, the live theaters, the wonderful and delicious eateries. You are in God's country and it just doesn't get better than that. We would love to share our good blessings with those who are led our way as our honored guests. We ask that if anyone in your party is experiencing symptoms to include but not limited to fever, tiredness, dry cough, nasal congestion, sore throat and such that you notify Bethany to discuss circumstance and options.
