We craved family time, connection, a beautiful getaway, and found it at Feather Trail. We hope you find the same here. Our lakefront property sits on a 1.5-acre wooded lot. You’ll love our woodsy friends, but be aware--some may even try to sneak inside! We strongly suggest keeping doors closed, and children supervised outdoors! You’ll meet adorable birds, squirrels, turkey vultures, raccoons, field mice, lots of spiders, shy foxes, quiet bobcats, deer, wild turkeys, possum, bats, frogs, gnats, flies, fireflies, dragon flies... and if you're lucky, you might even catch sightings of a bald eagle or white heron.Enjoy 204 feet of lakefront property. Enjoy safe swimming off the pier and hunting for crawfish along the shoreline. We've had family fishing competitions and looking for someone to beat our record! We’ve had the joy of naming our “friends” before releasing them (say hi to Shy Climby and Glory for us!) We have caught bluegills, walleyes, bass, catfish, and Western painted turtles. You can purchase a fishing license at the Marina and get acquainted with the designated areas for cleaning and fish waste removal.There are also 1.5 acres of woods to explore on the property as well as the 13 mile trail system around Apple Canyon Lake. There is an outdoor fire pit, a lazy hammock, and horseshoe pit. Inside the house boasts 2 wood burning fireplaces to stay toasty. Tip: call ahead to purchase firewood and have it delivered and ready.Also included with your stay is free access to the community swimming pool, tennis court, work out room, 9-hole golf course (fees not included), a Marina, and Nixon beach. These community amenities require an amenity tag for access. Don't forget to visit the waterfall!You’ll love the luxury details! For the chef, you will find Wusthof knives, an induction stove top, Made In Cookware quality pans and cookware, an air fryer, rice cooker, ice cream maker, cold coffee press, baking sheets, coffee maker, and more! Our comfortable beds have Tuft&Needle mattresses, crisp sheets, warm duvets, and soft blankets.
