Mountain Vista House Our contemporary cabin is located 10 minutes (6 miles) from the town of Telluride. We are 2.7 miles form the Town of Mountain Village Gondola parking structure. The Gondola is a fun, free ride to town. There is also an extensive trail system for hiking, biking and running that can be accessed from within the neighborhood. Please read this before requesting to book, ESPECIALLY if booking during winter months (Nov-April)our property may not be for everyone...The house is nestled on the side of the hill and access requires descent of several stairs. We would not advise renting this property if you have a person who cannot manage 50 outdoor stairs. The house is located at 9200ft, the stairs will get your heart rate up, every time! We have a professional snow removal service who will keep the property maintained, the snow melts quickly on the elevated graded metal steps The pathway is well lit with a motion light illuminating the path. A gourmet kitchen comes stocked with all the utensils and kitchenware that you will need to make a great meal including a vita-mix, vermont castings grill and convection oven. The flagstone patio is a unique spot to enjoy a meal with friends while taking in the amazing view. The home is equipped with an 4 zone indoor/outdoor sound system to enjoy your favorite music while cooking and entertaining on the patio. This rental is perfectly suited for people who want to be close to town, but prefer the tranquility of an aspen forrest. Recreational activities abound in the Telluride area and the San Juan Mountains, no matter what your passion from motocross to painting. There is something for everyone or just relax and enjoy the view of Mt. Wilson, Wilson Peak, Whipple Mountain and the Sneffels Mountain Range. This property is small and cozy, with wonderful views. Two queen bedrooms with down comforters, luxury linens and goose down pillows. One bedroom also has an additional queen murphy bed, this option makes the room useful for families with kids. There are two full bathrooms, one bath tub and one with a steam shower. We travel with our pets and are happy to accommodate you and your fuzzy fur children (no cats). Winter Road ConditionsSteep icy grades are the standard for this area. Experience driving in snow and ice is strongly recommend. Four wheel drive and proper tires are also recommended. The neighborhood roads are maintained by the county and the driveway and walkways are professionally maintained.Skiing: Our home is NOT ski in/ski out. Closest life access is mountain village, roughly 2 miles away. Neighborhood trailsThere is a series of neighborhood trails accessible from fox farm rd. snowshoes are recommended during winter months. Biking trailsMtbproject will provide you information on the vast array of mountain bike trails. Best to start at the mountain village gondola and orient from there.UberUber has responded to the house.
