The Big O'Hana! 6 BDR, 6 BR, Walk to beaches, restaurants, sleeps up to 14! The Big O'hana is a lovely property that features not only our main house, Ka Nani Hoa, that sleeps ten, but also our new O'Hana house (the guest house). The O'Hana house has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms as well as a kitchenette and sleeps up to four additional guests. The O'Hana house also has A/C as well as the Main House. This home is located in the private upscale Poipu Estates neighborhood and is just minutes away from the beach, restaurants and shopping. It is a perfect vacation location for up to 14 guests including adults, children and toddlers. When you arrive at our home, you will be greeted by a beautiful, ornate, hand carved wooden french entry doors and a porch swing that invites you to come, sit back, relax and enjoy the island breeze. Once inside, this home features coffered ceilings with a large open concept kitchen/living room. Our kitchen has exquisite emerald green granite counter tops and is fully stocked with dishes, utensils and several small appliances, i.e. coffee pot, Keurig, rice cooker, etc. It also has a center island that can accommodate four guests and the dining table is directly behind it that accommodates six; plenty of room for great dinners with great conversations.The dining area has french doors that lead to the enormous private back yard where family and friends are able to play games and run around. We also have an outdoor eating area, with a propane grill, where you can sit back and relax while enjoying the views of Kauai's interior mountain scenery and feel the Hawaiian trade winds blowing through your hair. After a long day at the beach or playing in the backyard, you can rinse off at our outdoor shower.The living room is comfortable and relaxing. There is a large flat screen TV that is equipped with Roku, YouTube TV and the home also comes with high speed internet. The property has A/C in every room. Although you can turn the A/C off, open the windows to allow the trade winds to blow right through the home which makes it very comfortable. There is a separate TV/game room with seating for 8 to 10 guests that has an attached lanai. Not only is there a separate TV/Game room upstairs, but there is also a playroom. Kiahuna beach, where you can swim and boogie board, is 12 minute walk or less than a two minute drive from our home. With only a four minute drive, you will arrive at several other beaches; Poipu Beach and Brennecke's Beach. At these beaches you are able to snorkel, swim, boogie board or surf; your experience will depend on which beach fits you the best. You can also walk or drive to Kukui'ula Village Shopping Center. This shopping center is a premier shopping area with lots of boutique shops and an array of restaurants.. The Grand Hyatt, which is less than a four minute drive away, offers a world class spa, evening cocktails, four incredible restaurants, Poipu Bay Golf resort and evening hula shows. You can also enjoy the water and sandy beach of Shipwreck Beach. At Shipwreck Beach, you can also enjoy a fabulous hike at Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail.If you prefer the pool or workout in a gym, included in your rental cost is access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club where there is a swimming pool with a slide, tennis courts, shuffleboards, basketball courts, pickleball courts, weight room, cardio room, studio for classes and a restaurant. This club is available to you the day after your arrival and is less than a two minute drive from the house. Also, if you have an evening flight, you can purchase a “Departure Pass Program” for only $40. While out on your Kauai adventures, don't forget to stop by Old Koloa Town, which is only a five minute drive away. It is a wonderful little town that has shops, restaurants as well as a small grocery store.
