Parking is just in front and can accommodate several cars. A brass plaque given to this beautiful home to commemorate it as an authentic historic Plummer Cabin to right of front door. :)- Kitchen & Dining -This beautiful open-plan Mountain Lodge boasts a well-appointed county kitchen- just the spot for preparing a meal, cup of coffee, or a snack. The kitchen area has Keurig and drip coffee makers and open cabinets and shelves to make choosing your cup for coffee fun and easy. The kitchen is open to the living space- allowing chefs to be part of the fun and enjoy views of nature, while creating a delicious meal. The dining table seats 6 (with additional seating for 3 at the kitchen counter) and has stunning meal time views. Additional seating for dining or drinks just outside on the outdoor deck and screened porch with cozy firetable (dining space for 6 and 4).- Living Space -The living area is open plan with living, dining and kitchen areas opening to a wall of windows- enjoy the big sky mountain and wooded views. The living space is great for entertaining friends and family with comfortable seating for the group, a cozy wood stove and large flat screen TV - perfect for game night or gathering. The outdoor deck has gorgeous mountain views, relaxation chairs, dining table and large gas grill - the grill master will remember the views all year long. :) The beautiful screened porch has an outdoor firetable and twinkle lights and is a fun and inviting area to gather together.- Beds & Bathrooms -The expansive primary suite is on the main level (king) and has a beautiful private stacked stone hearth fireplace, an attached bathroom with jetted tub, double vanities and a VIEW which is absolutely stunning. This space also has a twin bed at the far end of the space, which can be a good option for a child, and a stylish desk built into a wall for work, study or morning makeup. A second guest room on the main level (king) has an attached bathroom. Upstairs is an inviting loft retreat (2 queens) - which is perfect for friends and children. Off the living room is a charming childrens’ nook with wall bunk beds (2 twins), an fun arcade game table (with 10 game options) to entertain children of “all” ages and books for reading. With seven mountains and five lakes, the community has a beautiful backdrop for its three championship golf courses, fourteen tennis courts, three swimming pools (one Big indoor), swimming lake (with beach, paddle boats, canoes, & paddle boards), stunning mountain lake (with marina, fishing & rental pontoon boats) and first class wellness center and basketball court. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I'm sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the home or the community. You can reach us through your booking conversation thread, or you can speak to our 24/7 Guest Experience Department.OCCUPANCY:This unit allows 11 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 11 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis, pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, beach, and water slide. The Fitness Center with an indoor heated pool, Chapel, and Swim Club with an outdoor pool, beach, swimming lake, and water slide are popular with families.PARKING:Two or more vehicles can park on the driveway directly in front. Additional parking on the way to the home in The Chapel community overflow lot. (There is no on-street parking in Big Canoe.)GPS: some guests have recommended using GPS to go to Big Canoe Main Gate, and then putting in the address for the home. If you are using Google Maps, you should be taken that way.COFFEEMAKERS:Keurig and drip coffeemakers.FIREPLACE:Is wood burning (not gas), guests are welcome to bring firelog or firewood for the primary suite fireplace and living room wood stove.TELEVISION:The living room TV is a Samsung Smart TV, so it offers free live TV via its built-in guide: https://www.samsung.com/in/tvs/smart-tv/samsung-tv-plus/all-channels/, and it also allows people to sign into any apps they'd like. The two king bedrooms also have TVs, but they are powered by Amazon Firesticks so the guests can log into any apps they would like from there.**CLEANING PROTOCOLS** A housekeeping fee will be included on all reservations. This fee will vary in price based on the size of the property. The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. Please inspect it at check in and call housekeeping at in the event something is unsatisfactory. As we will send housekeeping back to the property to re-clean the reported areas, no refunds will be given for housekeeping issues. There is no fee within the first 24 hours to return and address the issue. All cleaning is done by professionals who use advanced cleaning practices and disinfectants. We maintain excellent cleaning standards and pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests, with photos of each room to ensure clean is up to highest standards. We fight fabricated claims for discounts with our extensive documentation on the house and post names to web for the protection of other hosts. :-) This beautiful home is not pet friendly. :-)GATHERINGS:We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict No Party policy.SMOKING:Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your Cottage during your reservation period.MINIMUM AGE:Guests named on the reservation must be 30 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 30 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.CANCELLATIONS:Cancellation charges are as follows: rental payments are fully refundable until 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date (less credit card fees). If 8-13 days prior to the reservation, 1/2 the total rent and tax can be refunded. Less than 7 days: cleaning and pet fees can be refunded. We will do our best to work with each guest.
