The home is just north of Springfield, TN and a short drive to Nashville. The home retains several of the original 1930s and mid-century decorations and features, but it includes modern updates and conveniences for today's travelers and families.The former residents were pioneers in middle Tennessee broadcasting and gasoline distribution businesses; vintage pictures are displayed from those businesses and the Springfield, Tennessee area.The home features a sunroom, a dining room, a living room, a family room, a den, and outside patio areas for eating and relaxing.The enclosed sun room has two tables and a couch glider that have beautiful views of farmland, mature trees, an antique gasoline pump, and more. The tables have seating for nine people.There is a formal dining room with a table that can seat up to ten people. The dining room opens through double doors to the living room with a comfortable sofa, two captain's chairs, and other antique furniture.The den has a sofa and chairs for relaxing and visiting. A buffet and cabinet have games and puzzles that can be enjoyed on a game table in the room.The kitchen has plenty of counter space, a double oven for the chefs, a toaster oven and a microwave. There are utensils, cookware and dishes for cooking and serving meals.The foyer has a architectural features such as the rounded front door and original transoms, and one-piece wide baseboard moulding. A piano and table are in the room.The east downstairs bedroom has a beautiful antique bed head and foot board with a full size Tempur-Pedic mattress, a dresser and chair.The west downstairs bedroom has two full-size beds, a dresser and a chair.The family room-bedroom has sofas and seating with a 65 inch smart TV. The room includes a queen-sized bed. Adjoining this room is a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, two sinks and vanities, a clawfoot bathtub, and large walk-in closet. A stacked washer and dryer is adjacent to the family room.Upstairs there are two bedrooms. One has a queen bed; a bathroom adjoins it with a lavatory and toilet.A second bedroom has two twin beds, a desk, and built in bookshelves with many books for young and old.Outside there are two patio areas with outdoor recliners, a table and chairs, and a swing. There is a pond and a second water feature. You can also relax on the front and side porches in chairs. There is a restored bright red antique visible gasoline pump near the driveway - great for photos!The home is near the Springfield north industrial park and Springfield – Robertson County Airport. The Legacy golf course in Springfield is one of the top public golf courses in the state. The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville is 33 miles away. The Music City Center is 32 miles away.Check in after 4 pm; check out before 11 am.If you would like to relax with scenes of farms, wood fences, mature trees, beautiful antique furniture, and rooms for visiting, come to the Draughon home.Be advised that the home is on Highway 431 and may have traffic noise. The home is not handicapped accessible.Every guest that will be on the property should be known when you make your reservation. This means a person should not enter the property unless they are already a registered guest and plan to spend the night. The booking must be a "closed invitation", meaning the person booking should know everyone in the group, as opposed to an "open invitation", where friends invite their own friends.There are no gatherings of outside people allowed in the house or on the property.No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the house. No cigarette butts or smoking paraphernalia are allowed to be left in the yard or outside areas.Pillow and mattresses protectors are used on the beds. Internet access is supplied.
