This is the place to escape from the chaos and distractions of modern life. We purposely designed the cabin to be beautiful, comfortable, and highly functional with durable furnishings, flooring, and decor. With its stunning views, and open, airy floorplan, you may never want to leave the house, even though the town of Clayton with all its charming shops and restaurants is just 10 minutes away. We especially welcome pets (w/ pre-approval) and our littlest guests to Sassy Cabin, with special amenities including a crib, pack and play with mattress, high chair, stroller, and baby monitor. Creek: a nearby creek borders the property. Enjoy the relaxing sounds, but don't worry about kids and pets as the creek is not immediately accessible. Living Spaces:After a day out hiking in Black Rock Mountain State Park, exploring downtown Clayton, or maybe whitewater rafting on the Chattooga River, nothing will feel better than coming home and sinking into the comfort of one of the two leather sectional sofas in the living room, surrounded by the upscale rustic feel of shiplap walls and wood-beamed ceilings. Evenings in will see you enjoying movie nights on the large wall-mounted HDTV with included WiFi and a cozy fire roaring in the fireplace.Kitchen & Dining:Our ultra-modern kitchen will tempt even the most reluctant chef, with stainless steel appliances, solid surface counters, a long breakfast bar, and dramatic floating shelves. Stylish pendant lights add an unexpected modern touch. Coffee connoisseurs will love the coffee bar, complete with Keurig coffee maker, espresso maker, and creamer. Serving and clean-up for family dinners, Happy Hour appetizers, or breakfast before a full day are made easier with a conveniently located adjacent dining table. Flooded with natural light, you’ll have one of the best seats in the house, gazing over the wooded grounds.Bedrooms & Baths: * Please note that all three ensuite bedrooms, each with king beds, are on the second floor. With the flip of a cushion, two luxury leather sectional couches on the first floor convert to twin sleeping areas, providing ultra-comfy slumber for four more guests. Sassy Cabin is proud to king retreats with wall-mounted HDTVs. Included are luxurious oversized mattress with luxury bedding. The first ensuite bath offers double sinks and an oversized walk-in shower with a pebble floor, while the other two feature tub/showers. Each has plenty of large, fluffy towels. We also provide a full-size washer and dryer.Outdoor Amenities:Mother Nature is the star of the show. Be sure to bring your morning coffee outside to sip on the deck, as you watch the natural world come alive. Later in the day, bring your book, journal, or mobile device with you as you curl up on one of the comfy outdoor seats. An alfresco meal is always a good idea, especially a family barbecue, which is easy to do with the gas grill. Sassy Cabin’s young guests will enjoy exploring the immediate outdoor area around the house and the spacious deck. Future plans include terraces and small trails, but not all 2.5 acres are accessible yet. Most days you can hear the gentle rush of water from a creek bordering the property.
