Summary:Leave your car and cares behind at the marina because Hummingbird Villa is only accessible by boat or the water taxi. Peace, quiet and privacy will be the hallmarks of your stay. The home is tucked away in a tropical hammock of mangroves and oaks on the south end of the island, known for its abundance of tropical foliage. With few neighbors nearby, your stay here will be one of utter privacy. Yet the glorious private Little Gasparilla beach is just a short stroll away.The Space:The owner's will include use of their golf cart which can be included in your rental for an additional fee. There is also access to a dock slip should you choose to bring or rent a boat. This home gives you easy access to both the beach and the bay from its mid-island location. This home is located within Gaspar's Hideaway community....a short walk to the three docks serving this community and the boardwalk leading to the beach! The home is spacious and luxuriously appointed, with a new kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, spacious hallway with washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor, and three bedrooms offering a king bed, queen bed and bunk room with a double, a bunk and a fold-down bed. There is an en-suite bathroom in the master and a hall bathroom serving the other two bedrooms.The screened porch offers a comfortable spot for outdoor dining or relaxing in the breezes and expands the living area of the home. A spacious downstairs deck offers golf cart parking, kayak storage and an outdoor shower for extra convenience.This home sits in an area lush with mangroves and other tropical foliage....during periods of heavy rain, there will sometimes be water in the side yard or the front yard, but access to the house is always high and dry. There is also a chiminea for evening fire-gazing. and a kayak for exploring the bay or the sand bar. WiFi - Included with unlimited dataAdditional Guests - Rates are based upon 6 guests. An extra occupant fee will be applied for groups larger than 6. Large groups will be permitted only if the home is being rented by a single family and manager pre-approval is required. Please be aware that occupant restrictions will include all children. Golf Cart: The owners will include use of their cart for an additional $500. Please note that a waiver signature is required and LGI vacation rentals will not be responsible for procuring a replacement cart if there are mechanical issues prior to/during your stay. Your fee will be refunded if the cart is not available at the time of check in.Vacation Rental Damage Protection - The $59 charge listed as a "management fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $2500 of “all risk” damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. You must bring a boat (dock included) or use the water taxi. The water taxi is $15 per person (each way) and runs by appointment only. The water taxi will run at any time, but rates are increased for early morning trips or passage after dark.Other Things to Note:Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitos, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences.
