(Saturday noon to Saturday 10am each week).Located just 4 houses from a private beach, this 5 bedroom 1 bath cottage makes for the ideal summer vacation. Enjoy coffee in the morning or drinks in the afternoon as you relax on your enclosed porch with views of the Long Island Sound. Situated on 100x100 ft property guests have available to them a full kitchen (gas stove) complete with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans; full bath; living room (with full size sleeper) dining room (table expands to hold 12), enclosed porch with seating for everyone. Gas grill, picnic table with umbrella, outdoor shower (cold water only), basketball hoop, large side yard to play and relax, TV, Cable, Wi-Fi, phone; and access to Association's boat launch are included in rental. You are responsible to provide linens, towels, toiletries, bedding and pillows, paper products, condiments, beach chairs and beach umbrellas and the like.Check in 1:00 pm Saturday, Check out 10:00 am Saturday.We only rent to responsible adults and families. Great for two families to share!PLEASE NOTE: No parties, please. No tents, camping, motor-homes, fire pits, or chimeneas. Pets are not permitted. NON-SMOKERS ONLY PLEASE. Rental period is Saturday to Saturday. Special rates available for monthly rent.

  • 1. ENJOY YOURSELF!!! 2. Phone/Cable/Internet There is basic cable on the TV and we have a wireless Internet connection for your use during your stay. (There is no password for you to enter). 3. Trash Collection The trash is collected every Monday and Thursday. The large green container near the garage needs to be placed in front of the house for collection. Follow the directions on the lid of the container. Recyclables (bottles, cans, plastics) are collected on Thursday. Use the blue container and put them out with the trash on Thursday. If you miss the pick-up on Thursday prior to your departure on Saturday, you are responsible for removing them. Recyclables can be redeemed at the local Stop & Shop or please take them with you. 4. Cooking Gas A propane gas tank is located at the back of the house near the rear kitchen window. If the gas supply seems low, check the indicator on top of the tank underneath the black cover. Please check gauge and if its reads 30% or less please call Paraco Gas at (203) 377-7171, give the account #35034T, the name Farrell, the address 21 Walker Avenue, Old Saybrook, and they will come fill the tank. You do not need to be there when they come to fill the tank. The gasman will leave a receipt. Please leave it tacked to the bulletin board near the phone. 5. Windows There are several windows around the house. If it rains, please close the windows where necessary, especially on the porch and in the bedrooms. At night, please close the windows on the porch and rooms where no one is sleeping. The moisture off the water can dampen the furniture. If someone is sleeping on the porch please use your best judgment. 6. Cleaning Trying to keep all sand out of the house is virtually impossible. We ask that you clean as needed and especially before you leave. There is a vacuum cleaner near the lighthouse closet underneath the stairs and cleaning supplies are under the kitchen and/or bathroom sink. 7. Brochures We have left several brochures and guides on the mantel of the fireplace. Please take advantage of what Old Saybrook and the surrounding areas have to offer. Please leave the books when you leave so that other renters can use them. 8. Parties We want you to enjoy yourselves during your stay. If you are going to have a large number of people (15+) staying over for consecutive days or a party that will exceed 30 people, the Town of Old Saybrook's Department of Health has suggested that Porto-johns be rented. 9.
