Originally built as an artist’s hideaway on the unique protected waters of Taunton Bay, Escape is a perfect refuge for those looking to enjoy the water, explore the islands and shores, or lounge on the massive deck.“Escape” is a modern, spacious vacation retreat with 2BR and a large loft, 3Baths and a large wraparound deck that steps down to the granite grottos of Taunton Bay. The downstairs flooring and carpeting have just been redone.A spacious master suite offers great bay views from every window and a pink granite fireplace. The main kitchen is open and well appointed with stainless appliances and a rough granite half wall separating it from the dining and living rooms. The loft has three beds, great views and a game area for the children. A small second bedroom, with views, is situated on the main level adjacent to a bath/laundry room. Two canoes and a kayak are available for exploring the bay and the mussel bed. The home provides WiFi, BBQ, washer/dryer and a TV/DVD. This quiet and secluded location is perfect for relaxing on the deck or the shore and within 30 minutes drive to Acadia or Schoodic Point. Your family will love playing in the calm water on the cove, exploring the bay and the marine life around the mussel beds and, of course, listening to the loons.
