Beautiful Log Cabin above Lake Shelbyville Our lodge sits above Lake Shelbyville, a 11,000 acre lake, offers boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and hunting. FireFly Lodge is cozy with a fully equipped kitchen, tiled bathrooms, deck wraps around 3 sides of the house, picturesque lake view, wheel chair accessible on first and second levels, situated on 5 1/2 acres along the wooded shoreline of Lake Shelbyville. Our lodge is great for family gatherings, couples, business travelers, and families (with kids). You can access Lake Shelbyville down a pathway through Army Corp of Engineer property. We cannot mow this pathway nor spray for poison ivy or weeds, since it is not our property. It is easy to get on and off a boat at the base of the property. You can also access the lake at the CoalShaft Bridge boat launch. The water is shallow here.
