With a 1-car garage and extra parking on the premises as well as a secluded back yard, our home is also the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs (in each bedroom & the living room!), Nespresso & French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom, bathroom, and closet are located on the 2nd story up a full flight of stairs. The foosball table / hangout area, pullout couch, office, laundry & mechanicals, and a half bathroom are located down a full flight of stairs in our finished basement.Arrive with Ease_____________Enjoy a seamless check-in experience with keyless digital access. Check-in anytime that fits your schedule, after 4:00 pm. If you’d like an early check-in, shoot us a message the day before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, you’re welcomed to check-in anytime!Rest in Comfort_____________Sink into soft, plush memory foam mattresses, hypoallergenic down alternative microfiber comforter, crisp clean linens, and extra blankets for the winter in each of our bedrooms. Stay rested with blackout drapes in each bedroom.Sleeping Arrangements_____________Sleep up to 10 people comfortably. In addition to three queen beds, our space features a queen size pullout couch in our basement living area, two comfy fabric sofas in our main living area, and a queen size air mattress. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.Parking_____________We are located on a quiet, secluded side street and there is both plenty of street parking as well as our one-car garage and our driveway which fits 2-3 additional vehicles depending on size (but which do block the garage). Please note there is no overnight parking allowed in Berkley, so if parking overnight, you'll need to park in our driveway / garage.Entry_____________The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.Extra Sleeping Arrangements_____________Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.Message us to schedule a quick call if you have any issues!Our Neighborhood_____________This house is perfectly located for access to both Royal Oak and nearby cities including Clawson, Ferndale, and Birmingham. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.- Please leave your shoes at the door.- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.Getting Around_____________While access to public transportation is not easily available from our house, UBER and LYFT run consistently in the area and are quick, cheap, and accessible options to get anywhere in the Royal Oak/Ferndale/Birmingham and Plymouth/Northville/Canton areas!Message us to schedule a quick call if you have any issues!
