This is a perfect space to get ready for your wedding or celebrate a special milestone. Whether you're looking for a small event space or a place to lay your head for a few nights while in town, this space is perfect for you.The SpaceThis special renovation took place after a fire almost devastated the historic home years ago. It's been expertly designed with modern elements as well as original character and charm. The name "Copper Patch" comes from the real copper inlay used to repair the burned section of the living room floor, in order to preserve the original wood throughout the home. In the backyard, a large Art Deco mural of California poppies was painted by local artist Harmony Scott, a perfect backdrop for a bridal or baby shower, family gathering, small wedding, or other small events, or to gather around the fire pit feature with your friends and family and enjoy.The Copper Patch is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with a basement game room. The bathroom includes a free-standing bathtub, glass shower, and three vanities, designed with bridal party hair and makeup in mind.Several restaurants are within walking distance, as well as downtown Tulare, the Downtown Dream, Radiant Tulare, and Tulare Union High School. The Tulare parade route runs down Tulare Ave and can be seen from the front porch.Every space in the Copper Patch is thoughtfully curated for photo opportunities.To use as an event space, send an inquiry by clicking "Contact Host"Event space fits 30 guests comfortably (8 overnight)2-night minimum + event and cleaning fee Or $200 per hourGuest AccessGuests have access to the entire home, backyard event space, and street parking. The detached back "garage" is being converted into a coffee shop, and is not accessible to guests at this time. Walking distance to Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Dominos, Zumwalt Park, City Hall, Radiant Tulare, and boutique shops downtown on K street. Because of the park and downtown location, there is a homeless population presence.Things to NotePets are allowed but there is NO GRASS, only artificial turf, and there are spaces in the fence where dogs can easily get out. "Sneaking" animals onto the property will result in the appropriate pet fees.The home is located across from the park, flower shop, restaurants, police station, city hall, and more commercial buildings. It is not located in a residential area.There is an additional guest fee of $20/person/night after the amount of 4 guests.NeighborhoodAcross the street from Zumwalt Park near downtown Tulare, the Copper Patch is surrounded by restaurants and businesses. Tulare Union High School is directly behind the property, as well as a soon-to-be Coffee Shop, "The Well", opening in 2022. It's a fast-paced, busy neighborhood, especially around lunchtime and when students are getting out of school. The park holds events such as "Concerts in the Park", car shows, and other gatherings. The parade route is down Tulare Ave., and can be seen from the front porch. The Copper Patch is less than 5 miles from the International Agri-Center and Heritage Complex, home of the World Ag Expo, Rusty Roots Show, and popular wedding venues.Your HostsGuest Equity is a family-owned company passionate about adventure! Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm.2. Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Maximum Occupancy is 9. Animals require a $100 non-refundable pet fee. 2 well-behaved dogs max. Dogs must have their own kennel/sleeping arrangement.3. No parties! No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, etc.) and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If you don't agree with our above rules, this is NOT the house for you, please let us know so we can find you a home that better suits your needs! We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!6. Be a good neighbor! Please don't leave trash outside the home. There is a provided trash bin for your convenience.
