Charming 1920’s style architecture, combined with modern updates, providing both room to spread out, yet be together. Nestled in the redwoods of Rio Nido, a small community along the Russian River, just outside the town of Guerneville. A quiet, comfortable place to hang out and relax or as a starting point for a wide variety of activities and adventures in beautiful Sonoma County.The SpaceLarge deck wraps around much of the building, providing plenty of outdoor space for sitting and lounging. Large outdoor dining table (seats 8), string lights for nighttime ambiance and gas grill are in a private area in the back of the house, with easy access to a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a large dining table, electric stove, new 18” Bosch dishwasher and refrigerator, along with dishes and cookware. The large living room has lots of seating and a TV with cable and wifi. There is a table and chairs in the living room for work, playing games or doing puzzles. Wood stove in the living room heats efficiently, with glass viewing door.The house has four bedrooms, two offer California king size beds, one has a queen size bed and a single bed, and the last has two single beds. There is a comfortable, roll away, single bed stashed for an extra guest. There are electric baseboard heaters in all the bedrooms. Washer and Dryer are available for extended stays. There are two bathrooms, one with an antique ball and claw bathtub and the other has a shower.The spacious double lot allows for plenty of off road parking, easily accommodating 4 vehicles.Just a ten minute walk to the Russian River, Rio Nido Roadhouse (restaurant and music venue) and swimming pool, Rio Nido Lodge, bar and restaurant and the Pee Wee Miniature Golf Course.A five minute drive to the west is Guerneville, a relaxed, rustic town with shops and trendy restaurants. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is nearby with towering, virgin redwood forests. Head west along River Road to visit other river towns such as Monte Rio, Duncans Mills and Jenner, where the river meets the Pacific Ocean and the spectacular Sonoma Coast. Open space abounds with world class hiking and recreational opportunities. There are wineries in all directions and a local crafts beer brewery, located between Rio Nido and Guerneville.Things to Know Before You BookPrimary guest must sign House Rules and Rental Agreement if you would like to see this agreement before booking please message the host.A Security Deposit Hold of $300 must be submitted 2 days before arrival (an email outside of Airbnb with a secure link to enter credit card details will be sent, if Booking on VRBO security deposit hold information is collected at time of booking) .After departure, the hold will drop off, as long as nothing is reported damaged or missing.
