Located on a quiet cul de sac, the house features decks that offer a view down a redwood canyon to the ocean. (The Point Reyes peninsula is visible on a clear day!) Listen for the barking of the seals or the whistle of an osprey as it glides overhead with a fish. A short drive takes you to some of the most spectacular hikes and beaches on the California coast, including Stillwater Cove, Fort Ross, and Salt Point State Park (known for mushroom foraging). The fully supplied kitchen features a pantry stocked with the basics such as coffee, spices, sugar, and rice. Bring your own groceries and cook, head down the hill to a nearby restaurant, or take the spectacular drive to Gualala for a variety of dining options. Our guests have told us (and we agree) that the stay is wonderful rain or shine. The bookshelves feature a variety of reading materials, games, DVDs and videos.
