We are 17 minutes from the West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park ! Desert Thyme invites you to grab a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise in our back porch, dip in our hot tub after a hike, then cozy up with a glass of your favorite beverage to enjoy the stars at night.This house has been recently updated to embrace all it's 1970's charm. Sure we could have demo'd the kitchen but that yellow oven (which works amazing, btw) asked us to embrace it and make it look like the sunshine it is. We rolled up our sleeves and painted every nook and cranny, pulled up all the carpet and leaned in. The dining room bar closet is stencil, the dining bench was built by us from scratch in the garage... and we loved the pole wrap at the base so much, we decided we needed to panel the walls around the front closet - hey 1970s! - and on, and on. At the end of the day, we love creating and we love that you get to enjoy the projects we took on! As much as we love a great time, this is not a party house nor set up for large groups. We adhere to a 4 guest maximum (and, person booking must also being staying as a guest) at all times - we appreciate your support in keeping this home what it is. Our hope is that you leave here feeling rejuvenated, rested and ready for your next adventure.> P E T P O L I C Y < We LOVE dogs! You'll see our house dog, Doris, in a lot of our photos and we'd love to have your pet stay too - please let us know ahead of time if a pet is traveling with you. We have a one pup max (unless special arrangements are made) and we expect all dogs to be very well trained - and not left in home alone unless in a crate. All dogs are an additional $100 per stay.Please note: a regular booking prohibits professional photo shoots or events. Please reach out should you be interested in using the property for professional service (the lighting is great ;)
