Pet friendly for up to 2 pets (pet fee applies)The spaceOur newest vacation cottage, the Bookkeeper's Room, is a beautifully finished and furnished studio perfect for that romantic getaway. In its standard configuration guests will enjoy a memory foam King size bed with views of the Lighthouse Tower and Fog Signal Building from the front door and bedroom windows. It can also be configured to accommodate Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guests on two Twin XL beds. The tastefully decorated unit provides guests with a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and 55" flat screen TV with DishTV service. Enjoy the warmth of the radiant heat flooring in the bedroom and bathroom and the beautifully tiled bathroom with large curbless shower. You will also find a welcome gift bottle of Husch Vineyards wine and chocolates from Mendocino Chocolate Company waiting for you in the room. This unit is also pet friendly for up to 2 pets (pet fee of $25 per pet per stay). Come try out our newest cottage! Please let us know if you are an ADA guest when you make your reservation so that we can configure the room to accommodate you.Guest accessGuests may come and go at any time, the front entry gates are closed but not locked outside of our business hours. All of our rentals include unlimited access to our 23 acre Outdoor Museum. Visit our Light Station Store and Indoor Museum, housed in the historic 1896 Fog Signal Building and containing the original 1st Order Fresnel lens from the 1908 Tower, anytime between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily (4:30 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day). Tours of the Lighthouse Tower can be arranged by checking with the Light Station Store Associate at the store counter. Tours are conducted around every 20 minutes with the first Tour at 10:15 a.m. and the last around 4 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 3 p.m. the rest of the year.Other things to noteWe have a 3-night minimum on holiday periods including Memorial, Labor Day and Presidents Day weekends, and the 4th of July and Christmas-New Years period. The Thanksgiving holiday (Thursday through Sunday) is a 4-night minimum.We are on a septic system, so we ask that you not put anything other than toilet paper in the toilets and that you do not pour any grease down the drains.There is a friendly lighthouse cat on the property named Arena Mina. Please do not let Mina into your unit, we need to be able to find her at the end of the day to put her safely away for the night.
