Recharge and Relax - Riverfront Home on 5 acres Fisherman's Paradise is a modern home built to resemble a traditional German haus on 5 acres along the Pedernales River. It's rustic beauty, antiques, modern amenities, and views of the Pedernales River from every window along the back of the house will have you relaxing immediately. On rainy days, you will see the wet weather creek to the left of the house come to life with a small flow of water heading towards the Pedernales River. One of our favorite features of the property is the beautiful flat field that can be found by following the River Trail or the dirt road on the far right of the property.It is a short 12 mile drive from Frederickburg, but the drive is so scenic you will not mind. The property is situated on what is now the part of the ghost town of Morris Ranch and your drive down Morris Ranch Road is like entering the past. The property book located in the house will have several pages of history and photographs.Upon entering the front gates of the property, you will see a beautiful German style home with a large covered front porch to sit and enjoy nature. There are 5 beautiful acres for you to explore and relax along the Pedernales River. Bring your family, fishing poles, kayaks, and outdoor games. Although many visit Fredericksburg for shopping and the wineries, we have found that the relaxation possibilities are endless at Fisherman's Paradise. It is a great home to read a book, walk/drive/cycle to view the historic buildings that still remain from the Ghost Town of Morris Ranch, fish, explore, spend the day at "The Falls" and enjoy s'mores at the fire pit. It is impossible to be bored with so many outdoor activities for you and your family. For the cycling enthusiasts, we are pleased to let you know that the house is located along the 3 beautiful cycling routes that range from 22 to 55 miles. Or, discover your own route and discover the historic buildings of Morris Ranch.
