The home can accommodate up to ten adults, plus children and pets. It is perfect for those who desire the privacy and views of the countryside, while remaining within close proximity of wineries, restaurants, historic communities, shopping and a multitude of activities. The two-acre property boasts a salt-water solar heated pool, hot tub, bocce court and fire pit, plus indoor and outdoor kitchens. Both kitchens feature soapstone counter tops and quality cabinetry. Put your culinary skills to work on a Wolf Range indoors and Wolf Grill outdoors – or try your hand with the “Big Green Egg” grill and smoker. Cook together with family and friends in the open concept kitchens. The indoor kitchen design includes white cabinetry, subway tile back splashes, an enormous Farmhouse Sink, and pot filler, as well as pass through to the outdoor kitchen. The central indoor dining area, anchored by a large farm table with ample seating, is open to the kitchen and living area, stacked stone fireplace and television/entertainment center. The home features hardwood floors in living spaces and hallways and 3 of the 6 bedrooms. East of the living area, step down to a cellar room with wood stove and leather furnishings, one half bath, laundry room, and spacious doggy bath for your canine family members. There is a locked wine cellar to be viewed (but not accessed – it is to remain locked). Please note, the built in ice machine in the kitchen does NOT work. We are on well water and it has proven to be too hard for the ice machine to handle. Guests should plan on bringing own ice. The West Wing is home to five bedrooms, and four baths. One of the en suite king bedrooms has a work desk and a printer. The main level houses four bedrooms – three king size beds, one queen size bed, one full size bed, and three baths. The queen room is equipped with a crib and changing table for the little ones. One of the main level king size bedroom is an en suite with a bathtub. The owner can provide a pack-and-play and/or bassinet upon request. Upstairs you will find the primary king suite with a balcony and en suite bath (with tub). A poolside casita features a king bed and high-end bathroom. A lush green lawn adjoins the terrace surrounding the pool. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a hammock invite you to relax. Next to the bocce court there is a kids play structure with swings, slide, climbing wall and a covered picnic table. Next to the kids play structure there is a seating area to enjoy beautiful views while keeping an eye on your little ones. WildlifeWe are in the countryside so there will be occasional wildlife activity on our property. We do our best to live peacefully with nature and try being respectful of their habitat, but if ever in doubt about safety please do not approach or try to touch. There are some insects that come with living in nature: spiders, ticks, ants, flies, bees, etc. We always try to do our best to keep them out of the house, but if the doors are open a lot, they can get in. Please be aware that we occasionally have deer on our property, even with the best attempts to keep them out. There have been garden snakes (small and harmless), California King snake (can bite if threatened but not venomous), Rattle Snakes (dangerous, please do not approach). Please be little more cautious on the field with animals and kids. Watch your step. Ticks are common in Sonoma County, so please do practice daily tick checks. We have also seen skunks, raccoons and foxes on the property. Please be aware that there might be mountain lion roaming at night. Please don’t let pets out alone at night and no overnight camping in the yard. We have not seen one ourselves yet, but we have had some activity with neighboring homes.Venturing Out Restaurants, wineries, shops, grocery stores, galleries, cultural facilities and events, parks, and hiking trails, are minutes away from Domaine Bennet Valley. Stock up at Whole Foods, Santa Rosa, just 7 minutes from the house. We have a Safeway on Yulupa Ave. Oliver's Markets are popular with locals, as well as the local organic Pacific Market.
