Access to the river at the cabin is easy. There are no high banks to contend with and you have a half mile of wadable trout fishing waters and lots of river structure in front of the cabin to hold trout. Brown, Rainbow, and Brook trout can be caught right out front.In the warmer months common outdoor activities in the region include fishing, hiking, bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, tubing, golfing, ATV trail riding, and horseback riding. In the winter months things don't slow down as the temperatures, snowfall, and terrain make an ideal winter wonderland for hunting, snowmobiling, tubing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and even downhill skiing. The area is rich with outfitters supporting your canoe, kayak, tube, ATV, snowmobile, horseback, skiing, and fishing interests.The Michigan roads in this region are well maintained year round. The access road to the cabin is also maintained year round catering to 2WD vehicles. We also have a Generac standby, whole house, generator - so you never need to worry about losing power in a storm and the fireplace will always keep you warm and cozy.Nearby are the Holy Waters of the Au Sable, Mio Trophy Waters, and Masons Tract along the South Branch. Experience miles of groomed snowmobile trails throughout the region right from our doorstep. The region also sports numerous cross country ski trails, tubing hills, and even a few downhill slopes. The cabin has everything you could possibly need.
