Explore Seward, Cooper Landing and Kenai Peninsula from one central location. Stay centrally and explore effortlessly - all your vacation needs in one spot!Visit Seward, Cooper Landing, Soldotna, Whittier, Hope, Girdwood and all of Kenai Peninsula from one convenient base.Stay connected in our home with Wifi and a reliable cellular signal; amenities not consistently available in the surrounding area.Escape the noise of traffic! Our home is nestled away from the hustle of the Seward Highway but still convenient to get back on the road quickly. The home features a king size bed and ensuite 1/2 bathroom on the ground level. The ground level has its own entrance/exit leading to the backyard and stairs to access the upper levels. The ground level has a washer/dryer and blackout curtains on all windows for light sensitive guests. The loft bedroom features a queen size bed and is accessed via a ladder-style staircase. The footing is very secure and there is a handrail, but it is steep and not recommended for young children or if you have accessibility issues. Not all windows have blackout curtains in the loft and light sensitive sleepers will prefer the basement bedroom. The second level features a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining table, full bathroom and living area. There's an outdoor table on a deck, with spectacular panoramic mountain views. The entire home is yours and self catering. Your own transportation is mandatory as there is no reliable public transportation in the area. This home at times is owner occupied. There are some personal items throughout the home and personal items in a chest freezer. There are condiments in the fridge and cupboards that are “community items”. That said, the home is not full of clutter. The condiments, spices etc are not expired and we maintain a pristine home. There is a second home on this 3 acre property. Both homes have separate driveways and yard areas, so you won’t be sharing any common areas. Any VRBO home or hotel in Alaska you choose for your holiday may have unexpected situations or things that make people uncomfortable. This includes some things Alaska is famous for like mosquitos! There are also flies, spiders, dangerous wildlife and loose dogs. The home is surrounded360 degrees by the Chugach National Forest, enjoying the great outdoors requires full awareness.Uncommon situations happen, such as the electricity going out for hours or days. Smoke and wild fires happen somewhere in Alaska every summer. Rain can last for days. The wind can blow hard day and night or it could be unusually hot with no A/C available in most of Alaska.Last but not least, there will be road construction and this could delay your travels and make you late for excursions. Other roads have pot holes and no pavement, driving in Alaska requires your full awareness and attention.
