If you are looking for a romantic escape in privacy with space to enjoy the outdoors near Mount Shasta, we have Easy off-and-on access from the I-5 at Riverside Exit 670. Whether you are an avid fisherman, celebrating your anniversary, visiting Northern California for a special event, or just passing through, the Riverhouse is an oasis of peace and refreshing. Its a life-giving sanctuary of restoration and renewal where many have found creativity and inspiration easily flows. Many guests come for a romantic get-away, and take some time to recharge in the busyness of every-day life. Some have chosen to book the place for a remote working get-away. We can set up a laser printer if you need it. Families love the amenities and the variety of wildlife that can often be seen. We are indeed taking precautions to sanitize our home to prevent any sickness. Please note, we do also rent our 2 cottages to guests who need more space, and amenities such as our pool and hot tub and yard are shared with all our guests. Guests who desire a more exclusive holiday must rent both the house and the cottage. Please let us know your desires. Message us if you have any personal questions or expectations. Our yard is quite spacious with many shade trees. There are lounge chairs around the property and also by the river where guests may enjoy the cool of the shade. Living at the river brings guests close to nature. You will see geese and possibly a family of deer. Please understand we cannot control where these animals may poo, so remember this as you walk around the property. There are two 1 BR cottages on either side of the house that may be occupied by other guests, but our property is over one acre so you won't feel crowded. if you need additional space for more guests, book both units! You will enjoy complete privacy in the main house, but the basement is currently off limits. Your hosts, Rob and Allison Zimmerman, have a live-in camper on the east end of the property so you can gain assistance with incidentals or recommendations of places to visit.. Enjoy the serenity and the various wildlife that pass by. Turkeys, geese, otters, ducks all enjoy this area. You may want to sit on the swing at the riverside, drop in a fishing line, take a dip in the pool, or even get creative and write a book. One more thing to note is that spiders are prolific around the river and may spin a few new webs while you are here. We have set this up for easy self check-in. I will give you the code to the keyless door entry. I also have a Ring Doorbell so we can talk if we happen to be not at home. We also have some coffee and tea selections available. There is a grocery very close by and you can feel free to cook up your favorite meal in this wonderful kitchen. We even have a gas grill outside you may want to use to grill some steaks or cook those fresh fish you catch on the river! (Please don't cook your fish inside) Propane tanks are easily refilled or exchanged for $30 Locally we have many wonderful restaurants and fast food available too.to recharge before your journey down the highway. Bethel Church is a quick 12 mile drive north at Exit 680 if you are attending a conference there.. Whether you are just passing through, or need a place to rest and recharge, stay at the Riverhouse.The main floor is about 2500 square feet of usable space, so it’s a special place to stay if you and your group are in town for a conference or a wedding. We may be home to take care of some maintenance issues, and you may meet our little pug named Bugg. Our pool maintenance is done around Wednesday afternoon and we try to mow the lawn once each week in the afternoon. Let us know if that is a concern for you. Special events, weddings and parties require special arrangements and pricing and permission for more guests. We are willing to discuss any additional arrangements to be able to accommodate you. You will be required to rent both the house and cottage together. This particular listing is only for home-stay activities only.We do now have a full sized washer & dryer outside the kitchen as well as many other conveniences in the kitchen to make your stay comfortable. Ill send a suggestions list before your arrival of some items you will probably want to bring.
