Whilst visiting Paris Fashion Week with her sister Kourtney, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gun point early on Monday morning.

As her husband, rapper Kanye West, performed at the Meadow Music and Art Festival in New York, Kim was held in her hotel room after armed robbers handcuffed the night guard and entered her room.

The incident took place in a discreet luxury residence, often used by celebrities and wealthy individuals, behind the Madeleine Church in the French capital. A hotel Kim has stayed in at least once before back in 2014, just before her marriage to Kanye West.

At 2:30am, the robbers entered the hotel room where the reality TV star was staying disguised as police men. They held her at gun point and are believed to have stolen jewellery worth $11 million, which included a jewellery box worth $6.7 million and a ring worth $4.5 million.

Kim is said to be ‘badly shaken but physically unharmed.’

As Kanye performed, he was told about the incident and then went onto cut his set short, telling fans there had been a family emergency and that he had to leave.

Shortly afterwards, fans took to Twitter to express their anger about the 39-year-old rapper walking off stage and the fact he was already 30-40 minutes late beginning the performance.

A Paris official confirmed to the Associated Press that there had been a robbery involving Kim and that an investigation was underway.

Kim’s younger sister, Kendall Jenner, was seen leaving the apartment under police protection at 4:30am, along with model Jasmine Sanders and actor Terrence J.

It is believed that Kim and Kourtney have flown home to the U.S. following the the traumatic incident.

Kim and Kanye’s children, North, three, and 10-month-old son Saint are not believed to have been in the hotel room at the time of the robbery.

This all comes after Kim was subject to Vitalii Sediuk slipping past her security and attempting to tackle her and kiss her bum. Luckily, her security guard jumped into action and stopped Sediuk.

Following the robbery a photographer, who had been following Kim since she arrived in the city, is being questioned by police. It has been said that he gained access to a restaurant where she and her family were eating earlier this week, by posing as a policeman.
