It’s been 25 years since Roseanne debuted on our screens, introducing us to the Connors, the most relatable working-class family around.
As well as being entertaining and downright hilarious for viewers, the ’80s show also helped pave the way for stand-up comedians with many of the cast being offered their own gigs away from the sitcom.
From the groundbreaking and honest storylines – talking about everything from puberty to money struggles – to the cast always leaving the viewers in hysterics with each show, it’s safe to say Roseanne was a huge hit. Roseanne Barr and Laurie Metcalf won Emmys for their standout lead performances.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, let’s take a look at 25 fun facts you didn’t know about your favourite sitcom.
