We all remember 1986 when the iconic song ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King came to life again on-screen through a truly classic film.

The coming-of-age movie saw the likes of River Phoenix and other child actors play the part of high school buddies who go on a mission to find a missing boy and become local heroes.

As well as bringing the ‘Stand By Me’ song back into the charts, the ’80s movie was a massive success in itself, grossing over $52 million in the box office.
