Beyonce – she doesn’t need an introduction, but we will give her one anyway, as she totally deserves it! The American singer (songwriter, record producer and actress, too!) first made a name for herself as the lead singer in R&B girl-group Destiny’s Child in the late 1990’s.
Since then, she’s rocketed to superstardom and you’ll struggle to find many people who don’t know who the pop star is.

She is considered one of the greatest entertainers in contemporary popular music having sold over 100 million records as a solo artists alone, plus another 60 million with Destiny’s Child.
The artist has won 20 Grammy Awards, making her the most nominated woman in the award’s entire history.
And now it appears that she is continuing to follow in her very OWN footsteps, as she has earned herself 11 nominations for this year’s MTV Music Video Awards.
After releasing her album Lemonade, in the form of a 60-minute film, she almost broke the internet and talk of Becky With The Good Hair trended everywhere.

The hugely talented Adele followed closely behind with eight nominations and Kanye West’s super controversial music video for Famous received two nominations.
The awards take place on the 28th August, so stay tuned to see whether Beyonce manages to scoop as many awards as she did nominations!
